Cambridge Historical Society Event

As a small, local, independently owned business, we really enjoy partnering with other small, local, independent organizations for events and promotions throughout the year. It's a great opportunity to get local folks together, and to promote our bustling local economy.

This past week, we hosted the Cambridge Historical Society (CHS) for an evening of food and conversation. CHS had a few notable members on hand, including President Tod Beaty and Executive Director Gavin Kleespies. Gavin gave a short presentation about the history of f our part of Cambridge, the Observatory Hill and Huron Village area. It was fun to look at old maps, where today's roads were once non-existent, and to hear about the many events that occured in this area throughout it's history.

Food was catered by Basil Tree Catering, and we were excited to feature their platters as another small, local business. The food was fresh and tasty, and enjoyed by all. It was accompanied by a selection of wines from Cambridge Wine and Spirits. Local business all around!

Overall this was a wonderful event! The turnout was great, we learned some interesting facts about the neighborhood, and like with any good party got to enjoy some delicious nibbles, and meet some friendly new faces! We're already looking forward to the next one.
